David’s Gatorade Commercial Filming Blog (Part 2)
On October 4th, Monday me and my partner Quincey got ready to film our second shoot for our commercial. As we walked into class we greeted each other and listened to our instructor give the class directions for what was going on today. After this, me and Quincy gathered our materials and grabbed a pass from our teacher to exit class and go to the track to film. Quincy was already in the Apparel need for the commercial so we didn't waste time having to change and we proceeded to the track and field. Once we got to the track, I took of my precious shoes that were white so they wouldn’t get dirty and put on my work shoes along with Quincy to get the best shots and videos possible for maximum results. The first thing we did was bring out the hurdles again so we could retake those shots we did last week and improve certain areas of it so it could be better on film. As Quincy went to jump over the hurdles, I positioned my self the best way possible to film the right angle we wanted of the scene taking place. After the hurdle shots, we moved over to redo the finish of the race scene at the end of the track. We realized that the end of the track was kind of shady lacking sunlight so we had to switch the lanes over a little so we could get the maximum of sunlight for the recording of the finish. Once we got in position I told Quincy when it was time to sprint to the end of the pylon as I was positioned on top of a chair to get the best high angle of the finish unlike last time for the shoot last week. After we took a couple videos we decided which ones we were going to keep and delete out of the 5 takes we took. Sincerely after this, we decided to take the pictures of the time of tiredness after the race and the actor being exhausted looking for a ice ,cold ,recharge beverage which is the gatorade. We took lots of pictures from this scene and we really loved them and Quincey was so excited he wanted to post them on his instagram page so I sent them to his iphone. After this, we took a video of the actor taking a sip of the gatorade to cure his thrust to seal the commercial and it went amazing. The angles taken were perfect and spot on. We cant wait to put all these clips together to make this masterpiece were creating. After we were done filming, it was 17 minutes until our bell for the next period came. We gathered all of our props, put back the hurdles, and packed our bags so we could return our pass for class and get ready for period 4.
