CCR Reflection

Name: _David Leconte Jr_______________________ Creative Critical Reflection How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?   My Gatorade product uses conventions to hydrate and refuel Athletes and individuals who are actively working out or performing high-energy activities so they can reach that next level. I don't think my product is in that category for being involved in social groups. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?  My product will influence people to want to drink it to be refuelled and re-energized which will make them 120% more harder while they’re doing tiring activities. This will be distributed through ad’s, billboards, posters, blimps, etc. How did your production skills develop throughout this project?  This project really just made me have to think out of the box and be creative in the way I wanted it to be. I knew that doing something little w

Gatorade Commercial

This is my commercial for Gatorade that me and my partner have been working on for the past month. This project took lots of time to think about and put together because at first we didn't know how we wanted to illustrate it. We wanted to present two scenes which includes a gym workout setting and a track and field setting. Unfornately, we couldn't film in the gym due to trademark and copyright issues so we just decided to film it on the track. The goal of this commercial is to show how Gatorade's electrolytes helps athletes refuel when their tired and advance them to that next drive like a brand-new Ferrari sports car. Electrolytes are minerals found in your blood that help regulate and control the fluids in the body. The filming process for this commercial was great with the headshots and angles that were taken to make it. The scene includes a track sprinter running full-speed in practice ad jumping over a hurdle. At the end, when the sprinter is done running, he picked u

David’s Gatorade Commercial Editing Blog

On Wednesday October 6, I started to edit the commercial I'm working on. For today my experience on editing went successfully. At the start of the class period I sat down next to my partner and we discussed on our next move. At first I didn’t know how I was going to edit the videos until I ask the other team of people in our class  how they did their. A couple of friends recommend some different editing ads but the most efficient one to me was iMovie. Quincy was going to be the editor to begin with but he didn’t really understand how to do it at first. This is because at the beginning we decided to add more to our film then originally to make it look more presentable. I decided to add a Usain Bolt clip that I found on youtube and then put all the separate videos we took on the filming days and combined them. It took me a couple of tries to get the way I wanted it. For example I wanted to add a background soundtrack to the video but I was having a difficult time. I was getting DRM

On October 4th, Monday me and my partner Quincey got ready to film our second shoot for our commercial. As we walked into class we greeted each other and listened to our instructor give the class directions for what was going on today. After this, me and Quincy gathered our materials and grabbed a pass from our teacher to exit class and go to the track to film. Quincy was already in the Apparel need for the commercial so we didn't waste time having to change and we proceeded to the track and field. Once we got to the track, I took of my precious shoes that were white so they wouldn’t get dirty and put on my work shoes along with Quincy to get the best shots and videos possible for maximum results. The first thing we did was bring out the hurdles again so we could retake those shots we did last week and improve certain areas of it so it could be better on film. As Quincy went to jump over the hurdles, I positioned my self the best way possible to film the right angle we wanted of th

David's Gatorade Commercial Filming Shoot (Day 1)

On Thursday September 30th, me and my partner Quincy starting filming our commercial for Gatorade at school. When we got to our media studies class we gathered our materials and storyboard to formulate how the shoot was going to play out. Once we decided what we were going to do, we went to Mrs. marchionne to receive a pass to leave class and go to the selected location we chose to film at on campus. The location we chose was the school track and field which was a 2 minute walk away from the classroom. Once we left the classroom with the pass, Quincy went to go change into his costume/ apparel and I started preparing my camera for the shots I was going to take. After, we started making our way towards the track and field to begin filming sections of the commercial for Gatorade. The forecast outside on this day Extremely sunny with little clouds  which was pretty good for the light in the shoot. When we stepped on track, we greeted our classmates that were filming as well and got to ou
