David’s Gatorade Commercial Editing Blog

On Wednesday October 6, I started to edit the commercial I'm working on. For today my experience on editing went successfully. At the start of the class period I sat down next to my partner and we discussed on our next move. At first I didn’t know how I was going to edit the videos until I ask the other team of people in our class  how they did their. A couple of friends recommend some different editing ads but the most efficient one to me was iMovie. Quincy was going to be the editor to begin with but he didn’t really understand how to do it at first. This is because at the beginning we decided to add more to our film then originally to make it look more presentable. I decided to add a Usain Bolt clip that I found on youtube and then put all the separate videos we took on the filming days and combined them. It took me a couple of tries to get the way I wanted it. For example I wanted to add a background soundtrack to the video but I was having a difficult time. I was getting DRM to the background music I wanted to add. I found out the solution to my problem by adding a soundtrack that wasn’t DRM. After that I’ll edit it more on the Usain Bolt clip. I also edited on the final Gatorade clip were the Gatorade symbol appears at the end of the film. After that I send it to mine partner and a couple of friends to get their feedback. My partner Quincy said it was a “great film commercial “. And for my friends they commented that “it was a fire commercial”. Ultimately are first half of editing went into access and I’m ready , and my partner I prepared to make it better.
